Quite a bold title I guess, and you may be thinking that I’m going to come out with all the methods you’ve tried before but you’d be wrong. What I mean by the title is that you already know how you want to lose weight, you simply need some better support in making it happen.
Traditional hypnotherapy uses a script designed to change the foods you eat into the traditionally recognised ‘healthy foods’ (I hate that phrase). If you really struggle they may use a script that encourages you to imagine your arteries hardening with fatty foods or cigarette ash on your favourite pizza.
That is not my style. I follow a kind of ‘eat what you want and eat intuitively’ mantra but I also know that if it’s not what you want to do it won’t work. My clients use their own ways of losing weight, the one they are happy with to lose weight. I provide support, experience, tools and hypnotherapy.
So if we worked together I would gather information about how you see your successful future and how you will lose the weight. I ask you what you want to achieve and how you see your future self. I would use my skills to guide your subconscious towards that future and having asked you about the things that sabotage you I would also move you away from those behaviours.
Often this is a good start. Therapy of any kind is a process, not a one off visit. Once you have made a start we can see what else may be troubling you or holding you back. I have tools, exercises and ideas that can help you to find the causes and triggers in your life that may have set you on the path to weight gain. I can support you in letting go of these triggers, emotions and saboteurs, so that you can find a new way of living your life your way at your weight.
Some clients need 2 sessions, some work with me twice a month over a longer period. Some embrace ‘clean living’ and exercise daily whilst others eat what they want when they want. What matters is that they are happy with the process and the results.
