We are well and truly into the back end of the year now. Bonfire night is done, its getting dark earlier and earlier and it is getting chilly. It will soon be… shhh… Christmas. I personally haven’t started my Christmas shopping but I know people who have and the politics of where we are spending Christmas has started. (My preference is always to stay at home but given that I am living on a building site at the moment, it may not be possible.)
With Christmas comes the party season, traditional excesses and rich food. It can be enjoyable but if you are watching your weight, or are prone to overindulgence it can be tricky. Even slim people can feel like their jeans have been boil washed by the time New Year comes around. And of course we all then start out with high hopes, strict diets and huge weight loss goals.
